All brake systems run hydraulics. From the brake servo to the brake calipers, the system wouldn’t function without fluid. The system has been designed to allow matched brake force from right to left, as well as a smooth yet positive feel through the brake pedal. Drum brakes use hydraulic wheel cylinders to open the shoes against the inside of the brake drum. Newer vehicles which run calipers on the front and the rear can be set up to allow the front to supply more of the brake force than the rear or vice versa.
We can arrange for a full rebuild on all brake calipers, the caliper would be stripped of all its components, repainted, then all new pistons and seals would be installed.
Before returning your old unit please ensure that it is in a re-serviceable condition. For example, Brake Caliper/Starter Motor /Alternator casings should not be badly damaged or broken. Kimbercarparts reserves the right not to refund the surcharge if it is found that the unit is unserviceable. When we receive your old unit back, the surcharge amount will be refunded to you as soon as our returns department has checked the item.
