Brake Shoes

There are two types of Brake Shoe on the market today, Rear Handbrake Shoes and Brake Shoes. The Handbrake Shoes are fitted to vehicles that run rear disc brakes, they have the sole purpose of preventing the car from moving when the handbrake is applied. The Other type, the conventional Brake Shoe, is used on older vehicles for two purposes. Firstly they are used when the brakes are applied to slow the vehicle down, and secondly they again prevent the car from moving when the handbrake is applied.
